## I cannot find a board

Check these in order on **Operations → Boards**:

1. The **Mine** toggle. If it is on, only boards you are a member of are shown.
2. The **board group switcher**. If it shows a group name, choose **All boards**.
3. **Active / Archived**. Archived boards only appear under **Archived**.
4. Board type (**All / Customer / Internal**).
5. **Filters**. Click the **×** next to them to clear everything, including the search box.

If the board is private and you are not a member, ask the board's owner to add you. See [Private or Shared](./boards-manage-a-board#private-or-shared).

## I cannot drag tasks

Dragging only works in the board's own order. A column sort is probably active. Click the sorted column header until the sort clears, then try again. See [Reorder or nest by dragging](./boards-board-page#reorder-or-nest-by-dragging).

## The board status did not change when tasks completed

The board is in manual status mode, so the status you (or a teammate) picked stays put. Open the status picker and choose **Reset to Auto**. If your organization has set **Board status mode** to **Manual**, every board is manual and someone needs to update the status by hand. See [Automatic vs manual board status](./boards-statuses-priority-and-progress#automatic-vs-manual-board-status).

## The dialog says "Project", not "Board"

**Create Project from Template** creates a board. Project and board mean the same thing here.

## Priority shows "Critical" in one place and "Urgent" in another

They are the same level. The priority picker calls the top level **Critical**; some filters call it **Urgent**.

## Board progress does not match my own count

Board progress is weighted. Each task contributes its progress percentage scaled by its **Weight**, a parent task's progress comes from its subtasks, and every status sets a percentage (for example *In Progress* is 50%). See [How board progress is calculated](./boards-statuses-priority-and-progress#how-board-progress-is-calculated).

## I am asked for a reason when I change a due date

Your organization has turned on **Due date change reason**. Enter a short reason; it is saved in the task's activity so the team can see why the plan moved. See [Change a due date](./boards-task-details-notes-and-files#change-a-due-date).

## Assign Only or Assign & Notify?

When you assign people in bulk, **Assign Only** changes the tasks quietly. **Assign & Notify** also emails each person one summary of their new tasks. Use **Assign Only** while you are still arranging work, and **Assign & Notify** when the plan is final.

## My Notes tab shows a dot

An amber dot means you have an unsaved note. Open the tab and save or discard it. See [Notes tab](./boards-task-details-notes-and-files#notes-tab).

## Where did my archived board go, and can I undo a delete?

Archived boards are under **Archived** on the Boards page and on each customer's Boards tab; choose **Restore** to bring one back. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. See [Archive and restore a board](./boards-manage-a-board#archive-and-restore-a-board).

## The customer cannot see a task or file

- The task must have **Published to Portal** switched on.
- The task's **Owner** should be **Customer**.
- The file's visibility must be **Shared**, not **Internal**.
- The board must not be **Private** unless the customer contact has been invited to it.

## An automation ran that I did not expect

Open the board's **Automations** tab and look at the **Run log** to see which rule fired. Inherited template or organization rules can be paused on one board with **Run on this board**. See [Template and organization rules on a board](./boards-automations#template-and-organization-rules-on-a-board).
